Welcome to Our New Residents, January 2023

The Urology Health Services Research Division is pleased to announce the newest residents joining us for the their research rotation will be John Myrga and Chris Staniorski!

John was born and raised in the Philadelphia area but headed west for his undergraduate training at the University of Pittsburgh. He obtained degrees in Neuroscience and Economics and continued on at the University of Pittsburgh for medical school. During his time at Pitt, he has been actively involved in research in traumatic brain injury as well as the health science research in urology primarily focusing on opioid prescribing following urologic surgery. In his free time, he enjoys exploring Pittsburgh, biking and skiing whenever he can, and getting out to explore the world.

Chris was born and raised in Philadelphia. He attended Georgetown University and earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology, graduating summa cum laude. After college, he moved to Chicago to complete his medical degree at Northwestern University (Feinberg School of Medicine). Outside of work, he enjoys exercising, following Philly sports, playing video games and spending time with friends and family.

We are excited to have them both join the team and can't wait to see what the next months hold!
