Welcome to Our New Resident & Fellow, July 2022

The Urology Health Services Research Division is pleased to announce the newest resident joining us for the his research rotation will be Shyam Patnaik!

Shyam is from Hudson, Ohio. He earned his medical degree at Northeast Ohio Medical University’s six-year accelerated BS/MD program. Shyam completed medical school as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. In his free time, he enjoys working out, spending time with friends and family, swimming, and being outside.

We are also pleased to announce the newest fellow joining us will be Daisy Obiora!

Daisy was born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria. She attended undergraduate university at The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD where she earned a Bachelors of Arts in Cellular and Molecular Neuroscience. She then completed her medical education at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University in Camden, NJ. Following this, she stayed on to complete a residency in Urologic Surgery and Cooper University Healthcare System in Camden, NJ. Currently, she is a Society of Urologic Oncology Fellow at the University of Pittsburgh with interests in optimizing delivery models of Urologic oncological care and minimizing barriers to access that may affect oncologic outcomes. In her free time she enjoys traveling, biking, cooking, attending concerts and spending time with family. 

We are excited to have them both join the team and can't wait to see what the next months hold!
